First time trying Betty’s Burgers. I originally thought this place was a restaurant, but it is a more casual affair. For those familiar with California’s ‘In-n-out’ burger, this is a very similar affair. Selection is limited, but cooked fresh and with lots of healthy options (aka vegan and vegetarian) and at a very fair price. Definitely ask about ‘Betty’s special sauce’. Chippy rating 5/10 – while the chips are fresh they are more akin to ‘French fries’. Note that ketchup is served with the meal, but extra ketchup will cost you an additional $1 per portion – so if you are a sloppy ketchup lover bring some of those left-over packets from your McDonalds visit Lol.

Fries were good. Got the Betty’s Classic. The standards have dropped from when I last visited this store a year ago. I’ve always told everyone my favourite burger chain in Melbourne is Betty’s however it seems I may have to stop saying this. The beef patty which used to give the perfect amount of beef in every bite has decreased. Worst of all, the normally juicy and tender beef patty was dry with a lot of dry / fibrous bits in it. Very sad today.

Tried the Shroom burger and loved it! That was a different taste altogether. I expected that a mushroom burger would have a large fried Portobello mushroom, but this was quite a unique preparation. Nice!
