This restaurant is truly excellent. As a native Beijinger, I find it quite enjoyable overall. Their Peking duck is particularly outstanding, although the portion size is a bit small, and the presentation of duck slices lacks a professional touch. The noodles, unfortunately, don’t meet my expectations. Aside from these minor issues, everything else is perfectly fine.

Great restaurant with authentic and delicious Beijing dishes, most of the reviews don’t give enough credit that it deserves.

Highly recommend the eggplant. Overall a good spot to get your beijing food fix in Sydney. Dish servings were generous. No duck available if you don’t go during lunch/dinner time.

Came here for Chinese New Year family dinner. There was a special set menu for 10 people at approximately $1400. Whilst the price was expensive, it’s to be expected for an event-based special menu.

I’ve been to the restaurant no less than three times, from 5 stars to 4 stars to 3 stars now, I don’t understand why it is getting worse and worse, the level of roast duck is not stable, especially the squirrel fish is all tomato sauce makes people doubt life…

We’ve had Beijing Impression at the first restaurant in Ashfield. This place cannot compare. Duck wasn’t fresh. Quantity small for the prices. We needed a table for 6. They gave us a table for 4 and added 2 extra chairs. We told them not enough room and they ignored us. We ordered over $350++ worth of food. We couldn’t enjoy our meal as there was no room on the table for all the dishes we ordered. We ended up putting dishes on top of each other and on the seat next to us. If you pay $10 extra they slice the duck in front of you and maybe that’s the fresher version. Overall won’t be going back. Very disappointed compared to the lovely meals we used to have at Ashfield Beijing Impression when it was open there.

They spent most of their resources on the fitting for the venue to make it look more than presentable. The noodles were mediocre with only a few slices of shredded pork. SImilarly, the dumplings were pretty bland and tasteless. It is comparable to the frozen stuff you get from Asian supermarkets and has absolutely no uniqueness to it.

Peking duck is plentiful in Haymarket, but nice to have proper Beijing style peking duck on offer!
