We tried the family pack during the easter holidays. Quality of the food was fine, however it’s a bit expensive comparing similar fish & chips take away shops. Staff is friendly and food was ready very soon. All sea foods tasted fresh. I suggest that having chips and potato scallops in a dish together is not worth it (too much potato and too oily). However, cannot complain about the quality of the food at all.

Do not waste your money at this take away shop. The 30 buck family feed was ridiculously small. I then bought 10 prawn cocktails and 10 scallops to try and bulk the family pack out. This totaled 70 bucks. Not only was the food full of grease, but it seems they don’t know oil has to be a certain temperature before frying frozen food goes in. The inside of the prawn cocktails was mushy and oily. Same for potato scallops, calamari and seafood sticks. Chips were not nice. Fish cocktails had a thick layer of skin on and tasted disgustingly overly fishy. None of the children or adults ate much of it and even our amstaff wasn’t keen. Despite the outside being refurbished the inside has not. It smells manky and looks it inside. Small selection of drinks and shop items. Pretty disappointed after spending over 90 in that store for most of the food to be uneatable for everyone and none of us are very picky when it comes to fish and chips. Avoid wasting your money here. It is not the amazing business it used to be.

What a find! Were from Newcastle were a good old takeaway shop is easy to find. Toowoon takeaway is fresh delicious and the prices are really fair,staff was friendly and toowoon bay in general is an oasis in an otherwise not very nice area.

Tragic. I could see the man running the shop could not walk properly and was on his own. He had not changed the oils in the fryer for weeks. Very slow process waiting for 5 scallops. He overcooked them and they were very oily. Never going back.
