We had the best night at Bar Evelyn. The much anticipated Cowboy Hat made us even more intrigued to visit. We grabbed a bar seat and were so glad we did. Watching these guys work their craft is fascinating. Our lovely bartender was attentive with general great chat but also wicked drink recommendations, but well balanced without imposing. It was spot on. A great place for the last night of our trip. To our fab bartender, thank you so much for the smoothest espresso martini of our lives and the most beautiful amaretto sour !!!

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while. Ordered the Portobello mushroom pizza and the prawn pasta. Both exceeded my expectations immensely. Pizza was beautifully savoury and sweet and the base was so fresh and flavourful. Pasta was generously filled with prawn and the sauce was delicious and light. Drinks are a must try – we had limencello margarita and the dry martini which were both fresh and satisfying. Service was great and the waitress was very attentive. I will definitely be coming back here again. Thankyou bar Evelyn!

If you are ever in Coolangatta do yourself a favour and try Bar Evelyn. Where to begin? The Venison Ragout with perfect Al dente pasta, had such a great flavour profile using simple flavours that were not over the top that came together just perfectly. The pizzas cooked in a wood fire oven have such a delightful light, airy and crispy crust. Then the star of the show the Tiramisu is the best I have ever tried, the flavours mixed perfectly together. Serving sizes are generous and the pricing is fair for the high quality food that is served. Bar Evelyn thank you for bringing this food into my life you have gained a loyal customer who cannot wait to return again and again.

Can’t believe this little gem has only been open 8 weeks! Not a massive menu, but what they do is top notch! Bar tenders are able to make different drinks on request. Do yourself a favour and drop in for a cheeky cocktail and some al dente pasta!

Small menu but great food, I had lamb rigatoni it was delicious, and I tasted the sausage and fennel pizza. All I can say is yum, very authentic, and the cocktails I had were also great. Would definitely recommend this restaurant as a local I will be coming back.
