We randomly popped in this restaurant, and honestly food was delicious and finger licking. It was sizzling hot. Served in 10-15 minutes which is very rare for indian food to be ready in such short time. we ordered daal makhni with garlic naan which was 5 star. Biryani and tandoori platter was good too. We pretty sure coming back for daal makhni. Excellent service by yuvi. Very happy.

We loved our meal on a warm Tuesday evening in the quiet, cool dining room at Ballarat Indian Restaurant in Golden Point near Sovereign Hill. Lovely friendly service. Given water and papadum while we decided on our order. Methi Chicken and Eggplant curry were delicious. Plenty of off street parking behind the restaurant via the drive way

Will never visit the restaurant again, nor will recommend it to anyone! The front staff were nice and courteous. However, the food was not at all worth the trip. The Veg Biryani we got was stale, vegetables were off, smelt bad, and had to go return it – the chef tells us that it’s just the way beans smell after being sautéed The other dishes were nothing out of the ordinary either, the quality was poor too. 1/2 Tandoori Chicken had only 3 bite sized pieces, completely dry and tasteless

Unfortunately, my dining experience at Ballarat Indian Restaurant was extremely disappointing. I ordered a MIX TANDOORI PLATTER , but it arrived overcooked, dry and not even enough warm. The presentation was lackluster, and the taste didn’t live up to the hype, and after that Chicken was worst. Never ever had this kinda food. The service was equally underwhelming, with slow and inattentive staff. Overall, it was an underwhelming and unsatisfying meal. I hope the restaurant takes note of these issues and works on improving their food quality and service.”

it was a very cold day and we were served by hot food really quickly with amazing portion and taste curries and naan !! garlic naan was really good esp if you are a big garlic fan, $60-70 feed four adults and honestly one of the best indian food place i ever had. the owner and staff are super nice with big smile and very appreciative. highly recommend if you are in the area !!!
