Owners Roselyne and Jean-Marie have opened a new French Corner store in Dunsborough! Fre-Jac Bakery & Deli, Shop 4, 16 Cyrillean Way, Dunsborough in the new block of shops behind the Coles car park. Gorgeous and delicious authentic French pastries, Brioche, Breads and their famous Gourmet Duck pies! Yum! Also French and local cheeses and gourmet deli delights!

I honestly don’t even want to give this business one star but I don’t have an option of selecting no stars. We purchased a few items from the van that came to Mandalay yesterday morning. My husband commented that he thought the bread wasn’t very fresh when he gave a slice of bread to our one year old and 4 year old daughters later that day. Today we have gone to use the whole loaf and it’s riddled with black mould. It is honestly the most disgusting loaf of bread I have ever seen. I have uploaded a picture for people to see. This business should be shut down. It’s dangerous to sell food like this. I feel guilty for having offered it to our daughters and wrongly assuming a loaf of bread we had literally just bought was fresh. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place!

Fre Jac visited our resort this morning, it was great so many lovely pastries. The service was delightful and everything tasted delicious.

Donuts and waffles were delicious, but most of our pastries were a bit stale. We bought them off the van that visits the different campsites so we thought we’d give the market stall a go to see if they were fresher but same. Bread wasn’t crispy like you would expect from a French bakery which was disappointing. It’s a great service though!

Our “go-to” bakery every time we are down South. The Favourites are the crossiants, waffles and strudels… but it is really hard to choose! Thank you for the delicious treats!

We stopped off at Fre Jac Bakery just off Vasse. I wasn’t sure if we were in the right place at first because it was in the industrial area. We Purchased fresh out of the oven apple strudel…. omg… yum yum. I could eat a few of those. Had a wonderful conversation with the owners, Rosealin. It was so nice to hear her story of coming to Australia from France.

This place is a rip off! 8 dollars for a croissant really?! I am french and I can tell you they are definitely not the best and they are way too expensive. The ones we bought were not fresh. Probably leftovers from market the day before. And the guy who’s present to each market down south is not nice and never smiles… plus I don’t like the fact that they don’t put their prices upfront and they tell you the price once you have to pay! I was extremely disappointed in this attitude and will never buy again. Complete waste of money.

FRE jac came to our campsite today. Overpriced is an understatement but you don’t mind for the convenience and if good. But the products were also stale. For the price you’d hoped were baked fresh that morning but the croissants were no better than coles 1 day over their best before.

Was very excited when the Fre Jac van came to our campsite this morning. The baked goods looked amazing and yes, while expensive we figured it would be worth it. But as soon as we took bites of our lovely food, we realised it was not fresh. Beautiful but stale. I’m sure it was the leftovers from their market day the day prior. So disappointed. I expected better from an authentic French baker.
