I’d googled “best seafood pies in Melbourne” and this cafe popped up so i knew I had to go on a roadtrip to the Mornington to check it out! We tried the curry chicken, cauliflower and cheese and of course their famous scallop pie. Overall I was quite satisfied with our order and thought it was really tasty

The pies and sausage rolls were tasty. The croissant was great, caramel slice delightful but vanilla slice just ok.

The bloke I had serving was obviously struggling and didn’t know much (shouldn’t have been put on orders, felt sorry for him). BUT, also not happy that the only sandwich choice with no onion was ham and cheese. I shouldn’t have bothered, the bread was very dry and stale around the edges. It might’ve been edible if they had offered to toast it, but they didn’t give me a chance to ask even though I noticed the toaster sitting there unused.

While sitting out the front enjoying my pie, I witnessed the baker eating a quiche. After finishing his quiche with his hand being all over his mouth he proceeded to make pastries with washing his hands. OMG so disgusting.

We love Banjos for a quick pie on a cold day. The only thing that makes me give this 3 stars is tables are never clean and the floor has the pastry flakes of a hundred pies. Always. Many racks of pies have no labels . Management needs to make sure workers have a bit more attention to detail .

Great for breakfast. Delicious rolls and croissants, baked goods and sweet treats – especially the blueberry and raspberry housecakes!

Pretty popular bakery on the main strip. Didn’t try their coffee this time, just wanted a pie and a sausage roll.

Sorry but never again. Why have 2 people working but only 1 person taking both the orders and making coffee. As I heard her (counter) explain to the cust after me. Its easier to take all the orders then make them all at once. I had 4 coffee orders ahead of mine. Before she even started making them. I think the kicker was though. I think she heard me mention to my daughter how long it was taking and that we we’re going to be late for her job interview. Thank you for slowing down and taking that extra care. I did notice and no I didn’t appreciate it. I miss old fashioned customer service
