This franchise has taken on the date scone scam where instead of mixing the dates with the dough they stick the dates onto the outside of the dough. What looks like a scone with a generous amount of dates turns out when cut to be devoid of dates on the inside. Dodgy.

I sometimes buy bread here and a large apple and custard scroll. I will usually freeze it all except about a 5cm slice from the end which I enjoy with cuppa after shopping. This time I had to butter the whole as it was void of Apple or custard. When I cut the other end off it was the same so 10cm was just a plain dry bun. If I wanted a plain bun to butter that’s what I’d buy. Disappointed Bakers Delight.
