I had slow cooked pepper beef pie and also steak and kidney pie. The pepper pie was better but the bottom pastry was very soft and prone to collapse. The steak and kidney pie had a reasonable flavour but lacked actual chunks of steak and kidney. I have never had vegetables added to a steak and kidney pie before and I know why because it shouldn’t be included. The bottom pastry again was very soft and collapsed. Luckily for the foil tray to hold under it. They did have some nice looking sourdough but I didn’t try it. I wouldn’t rush back to get their pies.

Custard is not runny, pastry still has crunch.. Flavor is balanced, not too sweet not too tart. I love it!

Haven’t had a meat pie in quite awhile….but so happy I broke the drought at Bakehouse Delights…. perfect pie for me. Lovely pastries top and bottom, plenty of meat, gravy just the right consistency and good temperature. It was delicious!!

Had the slow cooked beef pepper pie and the slow cooked beef and veg both very delicious and would highly recommend. Also tried a plain sausage roll and a cheese and bacon sausage roll again delicious.

Been coming here fairly regularly for a good number of years and it’s always 10/10, one of the few places left that do a classic proper Australian meat pie, plenty of flavours to choose. Also delicious sweet stuff from custard tarts to cinnamon donuts, the caramel eclair is at the top for me. Prices are fair and the staff are always lovely! Support local!
