Delicious Chinese cuisine and the staff were so sweet and lovely. We had some soup to start and shared some mains. You do need rice to go with mains otherwise there isn’t a carb element. Not many vegetarian options only sides. But we eat meat so suited us!

AWU Delicious Chinese restaurant in Hobart is an absolute gem, especially if you’re craving some scrumptious food in the dead of night. As I strolled along Hobart Pier, my stomach grumbled with hunger, and I realized I had missed out on dinner. I resigned myself to the thought of a service station meal until I stumbled upon AWU Delicious. I asked, “Hey, are you still open at midnight?” Their reply filled my heart with glee, “We’re open late, mate!”. The joy in our eyes couldn’t be contained! The photos are great but look nothing like the actual meals. Dumplings were chewy and undercooked, the special fried rice was definitely not special, and the ingredients described in the menu for the combination seafood did not match the what was finally served. We eat a lot of Chinese and Cantonese food in Sydney , Melbourne and elsewhere. I don’t know where this chef learned to cook. Very disappointing.

Had three dinners here quite late at night. The food is superb and the kitchen stays open until very late which is great because everywhere else seemed to close early. Could not find fault with this place. Highly recommended for quality Chinese meals.

A friend of mine recommended this place yesterday and I was amazed by the food and the quality of service here. The atmosphere here was also fantastic. Must try the sesame beef and eggplant dishes! This is my new favourite place!

Charming hostesses, personable and respectful. Worst Chinese meal of my life. Whilst Expectations modest, I was quite disappointed. I was fine with waiting the advised time due to peak time and agreed this delay up front, thank you.

Food was equally as good as any high end restaurant in Hobart. They had a premium wine list and the service was excellent. Very warm, friendly staff with exceptional service. Atmosphere was quite nice.

The food tastes ok. Only downward is the price. Too expensive for their dishes. Small amount of portion compared to the price they ask for. What’s good is the waterfront view. Everything else is normal. Would not come back for their dish though. With the same money, you can have another great dishes.
