AQUITAINE our namesake is a region in south-west France, a region steeped in culinary tradition. We have taken the time to distil, update and translate our offering to suit the Brisbane climate, and by utilising premium local suppliers and produce.
We’ve adapted time-tested recipes, using interesting combinations with the aim of
delivering a point of difference to the palate, while maintaining humble feelings of rich,
comfortable French fare typical of an authentic brasserie.
True to this form, almost everything we serve here is house-made with love and care, as we believe, it needn’t be exclusive, nor overly complicated, just honest, and delicious.
We cater for functions, events, and also offer a magnificent Private Dining Room area.
Split-level French restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows, contemporary interior and river views.

Friendly service at a great location by the river. The mains were a bit too salty for my tastes. Not bad, but not notable.

Have celebrated three birthdays here and the food, drinks and service has always exceeded expectations. The quality is high, and prices are reasonable especially if you get the set menu. Have had lamb dishes on two visits, and enjoyed each and every mouthful. Have also had the creme brûlée each visits, which is to die for. The location on the Brisbane river in exceptional, it really is a special restaurant.

This place took me by surprise. We chose it because they were open on a Sunday and most places don’t. The lady who served us was very professional and friendly. Even ask if we are celebrating anything. And gave us a special dish in the end. See photo. Definitely worth a try.

Underwhelmed. The waitress was a sweetheart but bless her she knew little about the menu. The glass of wine we ordered was off & had to be sent back, the Duck leg was overcooked & if I hadn’t ordered the side of Broccolini, the 3 little carrots with the duck leg would not have been enough. The seafood soup had nice seafood however the broth was inedible. Obviously the Chef did not taste the broth he/she was serving.

This was a lovely place to celebrate a 70th birthday and we had an excellent evening. We all felt the portion sizes to be perfect in that we were able to enjoy 3 courses without feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortable. The time between courses was great too as we were able to enjoy each other’s company without pressure to be eating. A relaxing evening with delicious food. Pork Belly with celeriac and Scallops with squid ink tulle for entree. If you have ever been disappointed with dry duck this restaurant will renew your faith in this delicious dish as the Duck with parsnip purée and a delicious jus did not disappoint. The quail dish was also a hit for main course. Blueberry sorbet and lime meringue and chocolate del-ice for dessert.

Had a wonderful time with my wife and food was delicious! The escargot was nice, grilled octopus was really tender with lovely charred flavour, bouillabaisse was flavourful with clams, mussels, fish, and octopus. The grilled quail was really tender and juicy, paired with grilled broccolini. Staff were really friendly, got outdoor table closest to river and had heater next to us which kept us warm, quiet and cosy atmosphere. Worth recommending!

Went to Aquitaine today for mothers day. Party of 7. Was a nice lunch, did the special “mothers day menu”. Service was a bit slow but the food was good.

We got a shared table facing the river on a Saturday for our anniversary, romantic and amazing atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Food was delicious with generous servings, but some items on the menu (entrees, wines) were sold out.
