Since Jason took over this restaurant in mid 2021, Amphawa has been the best thai restaurant in Australia. That’s a huge claim but, as a lover of thai food since the early 80’s (40 years!), I know when I’m in the presence of greatness. Everything here is great – super fresh and tasty. We ordered Coconut Prawns, Pad Thai Ewe and Crispy Pork wit Ginger Sauce accompanied with rice. Topped with a bottle of wine and we spend less than $100 for an amazing dinner with super friendly and quick service. I was lucky enough to be invited to a birthday lunch at this restaurant recently. There were about 20 guests as well as a pretty full restaurant and I had doubts that the kitchen would be able to cope but I needn’t have worried.
