Dropped by in late afternoon to grab a snack from a break of hopping of lookout points along the GO road. There were still queue of like 5, 6 group of people at this late hour after lunch. We ordered a battered blue grenadier from their Fresh Fish special menu of the day, and it didn’t disappoint. Crispy batter on a slide of very fresh and tasty fish. It was quite big in size and so quite value for money. We were also appreciate for the funny and friendly staffs of the store.

One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in Melbourne. Pretty expensive tho. The fish also has scales and bones. Fries weren’t the best and the sauces are sold separately, the sweet chilli was the best sauce and their salt could be a little lesser. Not many seats.

A tiny eatery serving fresh food. The spicy prawn tacos were amazing, just the right amount of spice yet very flavourful. We had the spicy beef and Barramundi burger both were good and hit the spot.

$10 for a tiny piece of flake. Potato cakes overcooked and rock hard. Chips were $6 for 1 adult serve! Cans of drink $4…..

As travellers and newbies to fish and chips, we asked for recommendations and the staff were patient in explaining the variety of fish on the menu! Ended up getting an assortment to share (personally love the butterfish and flake), and the calamari is a must try!

Very enjoyable fish n chips, generous portion of chips for 2 to share. If you’re in the area, would definitely recommend this place.

The bad: chips OK but nothing special. Standard frozen fare as in most shops. Opted for 1x local fish, 1x medium chips and a can of soft drink for $22.50. Not sure how such a small piece of local fish can cost so much more! (The fish shown on the board would have cost $7.) Bit disappointed. Fish took up less than 1/3 of the batter, it was pretty tiny. My son laughed at my expense…

Five of us came to Airey’s Inlet Fish & Chips on a Tuesday for lunch. I’ve been to many fish and chips shops (both in the city and in country towns) but, never in my life have I come across such an aesthetically pleasing fish and chip shop that provides such excellent customer service and delicious food, at reasonable prices. On entry to the shop, the staff were approachable and friendly, and took our orders quickly. After a very short wait we received our food. I ordered the lighthouse pack for one. The batter on the flake was so tasty, and the chips were golden and crunchy. Thanks to the Aireys Inlet Fish & Chips crew. I highly recommend this shop, and I’m so glad I came here.
