Definitely not a buffet in the true sense of the word. One server seemed to be routinely advising first time visitors that it’s a choice of either/or and one time only, small serves and don’t forget to take your dishes to the washer when you’re done!.

Not buffet style, you’re served, and small portions at that. If you don’t get one of the main things, you can’t have extra of something else. Way too fancy to be enjoyable for the students who have to eat there every day. An alright price if you’re dining there every now and then, but way too expensive for the students who have to pay for at least 1 meal a day, 7 days a week for 15 weeks. Eating three meals a day here is unaffordable for the students who live on campus. The kind service is the only redeeming part.

I had lunch at 7at Avondale last week and it was very nice, this week however it was absolutely unacceptable. In my falafel pattie I had a ceramic?/ rock hard piece that I bit into, it was quite a large piece and it hurt my teeth. I have never seen anything like this in my food!

I believe the definition of a buffet is a meal consisting of several dishes from which guests serve themselves. So why are we only getting served a certain proportion of food where only 1 meal is available. And what’s the go with no juice or dessert.

I just don’t understand why they are trying to be a luxury 5 star restaurant when they are located in the middle of a university campus. It is meant to be a cafeteria for the university students! Not at all suitable for the clientele, especially considering we have no choice but to purchase 1 meal every single day and don’t get any refunds at the end of the year. The small single serve portions leave a lot of us hungry as we go about our day and if we want a little more we are asked to pay another $15 for a second serve. I hope the staff get treated well, as they are basically the only redeeming factor for this restaurant. Only thing that isnt portioned is water- but i bet that too will change soon. Highly disappointed. Please consider that you are the only place on campus that our students can come to eat, this isn’t very fair on us.

Waiting over an hour for pizza on two separate occasions. The first instance was just under an hour 30. When we went to enquire at the pickup spot after the one hour mark, we were rudely told we could not be there. This staff member refused to even let us speak. It was 10mins after this that the manager approached us and told us our order had been lost. The rude staff member was there and had her head down, they the made the order. No form of compensation or even apology rendered.
