It is a cosy little ‘eatery’ in the CBD at King St and St Georges Tce – I have been to Mauritius and you will get that feeling you are in that country when you go inside. I had the lamb curry and it was melt in your mouth, perfectly spiced and I was overjoyed. Pricing is reasonable and staff are friendly. Portioning is perfect too. If you are in the area, give this place a try if you are hungry.

Good lamb biryani and creamy, rich lamb curry. The meat is tender. Bought the meal with Groupon voucher which is worthy!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Roti King, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! This restaurant truly lives up to its regal name, offering a dining experience fit for royalty. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for a memorable evening.

Small and cosy spot perfect for a delicious casual lunch or dinner. The wait time for the food wasn’t long.

Best Biryani, Best Roti, Best Mauritian Curry. Need to hire better waitress, faster service – as mostly office people, we cant wait 30mins for our food. But really good quality food. Best to call and order and pick up later. AMAZING FOOD!

Very tasty lunch and friendly service. We ordered 2 of the 3 sides and they were quite tasty. The roti is nice, though different to pratha, it’s more like a crepe. Very spicy sauce that accompanied all the dishes. Be prepared to drink lots of water!

Hectic. Sadly seems like the owners have sold and handed it to new owners. The place is hectic. One teller, huge lines, deliveroo, uber drivers getting in the way. Seats are old and broken. Briyani that I had was cold when brought out. Teller did not even acknowledge me waiting to take my order for 5 minutes because they were serving as well as sorting orders.

Well I never wrote negative feedback before but it didn’t went well, I got chicken biryani from there on 10th July 23 and it was below average in taste. The way it served was miserable. The cutlery is inside and serving is outside, so you wait for the food and once served you go get cutlery, that was too much for myself. Didn’t bother try other as 1st impression is the last impression.

First visit: The lady at the counter didn’t bother to attend customers and busy with other staff in kitchen so decided to come some other day.
