What a lovely cafe with very friendly staff. Beautiful scrambled eggs and milkshakes. Highly recommended if passing through Gundagai. The art Deco interior is lovely and booths make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

We had a lovely stop off here for breakfast on our way home from Sydney. The food was amazing, and so was the service. Fantastic people and good coffee. The Art Deco style counter and decor details are fabulous.

Fabulous time capsule and beautiful presentation. Great breakfast in early 20th century setting. Booth seating and good menu. Suitable for vegetarians. Well worth the stop. I tried corn fritters and my partner had eggs Benedict. Great coffee as well. No real down sides but I did notice that the unisex bathroom did not have a change table but also noticed it was spacious so it likely does not matter.

Whether you’re travelling north or south on the Hume, this is best place to stop not only for the great food but the vibe. It’s like stepping back in time. We ordered the Niagara Big breakfast and it was enough to feed two hungry tummies. Fruit smoothie was also refreshing and service was welcoming. Lots of seating available, we sat in one of the booths and the space between the bench and table did feel a bit awkward but wasn’t too bad.

Top marks on a splendid restoration, retaining all the charm of old, along with reinstallation of long-lost features. The staff are so friendly and welcoming — I was very impressed that several young people are employed there, learning the ropes. The food was great, taking me back to the old days.

Charming, very original art-deco Cafe that is professionally run with good coffee and food. Good service, clean with great atmosphere. Fruit bread toast with ricotta and honey for breakfast is to die for, but the breakfast menu finishes at 11.00am. Highly recommended.

Amazing visit to the era of the Deco splendour of the Greek Milk Bar, perfectly restored with all original counter, booths and even vaulted ceiling. Our breakfast was as good as the service by a waitress who came here as a child. A must visit and worth getting off the hume highway for.
