The building wow !!! Took my breath away. The food superb, the coffee excellent. Mid morning on a weekday packed and quite loud but loved this place

Excellent, if you’re ever in Melbourne 333 Collins Street, you’re in for a treat. Make sure to enter via the building next door and look up.

Had walked past this visiting another venue for lunch and thought this is our next city restaurant to try and it was magnificent. 4 of us shared caprese salad while 3 also had olives (I didn’t have as vegetarian and olives with veal). Then I had ravioli with ricotta and tomato, husband had rigatoni with chicken, while 2 others also had pasta with meat and we shared a small accompaniment of fries (OK I ate most of them). Now as someone who has eaten at a LOT of Italian restaurants I can say this was delicious pasta. Perfect combination of tomato and cheese. We had drinks (Chandon sparkling, Rose, Shiraz, Coke) and coffees (decaf soy lattes, decaf almond latte, regular flat white and even an iced almond milk). The service was attentive and recommend for a delicious lunch. The venue is an what was an old bank vault and if there definitely go next door to check out the beautiful old bank building.

A boy club! Look at the reviews all put up by mostly men. Women dont get the same service as men patrons. Mostly male serving staff. I experienced this today having lunch with my female friend we got little to no service despite the two tables closest to us with male patrons got very engaging and attentive service. A few weeks ago i had lunch with a male colleague and we ordered the same meal, his food was served before mine i had to wait, even he felt awkward and commented on the service. The serving staff spoke to him and made chit chat i was ignored despite being the one paying the bill. Sad to see this gender bias. It was so noticeable. I wont be going back.

Went in on a cold winter morning for a quick bite. Not busy. Unfriendly waiter. Very dark inside. Ordered an oatmilk cappuccino and porridge. Coffee was OK but at 5.50 + 1.00 for oat = 6.50, it was overpriced. After 15 min I go to kitchen and see them just starting the porridge. Another 5 min and it comes out like thickened milk, barely any oats. It was $16. Go to the cashier to pay, where I deal with a dour non-verbal person.

In my view the best place to meet for breakfast or lunch in the CBD. Always reliable, excellent service, great atmosphere and kenu options.

Great atmosphere to match the classic style of 333 Collins. The ambient noise level is a bit high, probably due to the hard floors, but not too loud to prevent private conversations. Entry either from Collins Street directly or via the grand foyer in 333 that is accessible both from Collins Street and Flinders lane.
