Came here for a quick dinner; pad kee mao and Thai milk tea. Food and drink came out pretty quick. Lacks a bit of atmosphere compared to other Thai restaurants, but very good if you’re dining alone and want something quick. Noodles were spicier than usual, so if you can’t candle hot food request for no spice.

We ordered Green curry chicken and Panang curry chicken, the taste is OK only.

Ying Thai have been serving consistently delicious Thai food over the years; flavourful green/red curries, yum sam grob (crispy pork skin/prawn/squid salad) and pad thai remain my favourites. Service was prompt and friendly.

This restaurant is very popular with its crispy pork salad, must try!. The rest of the foods are also delicious. The place is a bit small, but good enough as there are out door table. The staffs are also polite. Overall, im very satisfied. Thank you.

This was highly regarded according to AGFG but I found it pretty average. The pad Thai desperately need a squeeze of citrus and it was quite spicy which is odd considering it’s usually on the sweeter side. Entrees were tasty but nothing particularly memorable

This place is one of our favourite Thai places in Melbourne and it never disappoints. It’s not your typical Thai restaurant from the suburbs.

Great Asian place to eat out on the Lygon street, if you are near Carlton. They are mostly shared dishes, or basic Thai dishes like pad thai and fried rice. Lunch time has some special offer dishes, and dinner time has a slightly more expensive price overall. Service was good, and the food was great. The only downfalls are probably: the place have quite small space, and the Stir fried roast pork with greens has too few meat in it.

Ying Thai is honestly a shadow of its former self now. I rarely see it busy anymore, and the service continues to decline. During my recent visit, I had to ask for water, plates, and cutlery a few minutes after our food was served, even though the staff were standing around doing nothing. The prices keep going up, it’s now $20 for a pad thai. The food still tastes good at least.
