One of the best restaurants on koornang rd! 100% would come back. The service, the quality of the food, how AMAZING the food is and especially overall the atmosphere and environment. I recommend this place over and over again. I am Vietnamese and this is top tier level of delicious authentic Vietnamese dishes with a subtle hint of Eight Monkeys own original ideas!!

Solid Vietnamese food. Pho was not bad, but not the best I have had. The beef was already overcooked by the time it arrived at the table which made it a bit more tough than I think most prefer or as the chef intended. Vegetarian pho is made using a veggie stock, which is some times a bit tricky to find. My partner enjoyed it and said it was the best they’ve been able to find in Eastern Melbourne. Soft shell crab bao were enjoyable, and we also had some spring rolls, but they were the standard (likely frozen bulk) spring rolls. A very vibrant and clean environment with a convenient location in the heart of Carnegie.

I like this amazing food. Meat is very tender, good texture and delicious. Fresh vegetables and sweet broth which is very good. Also, I can see the flower shape carrots pickle that is nice. I am satisfied. And the staff is also very kind. I will visit here again thank you for the service.

Delicious food and drinks! Todays order was the oxtail, diced beef rice and mini pancakes. The oxtail was so tender and melt in the mouth. The beef cubes had so much flavor and was also tender. The pancakes were crispy and delicious. Drinks were the coconut juice and lychee rush, both really tasty!

My husband and I have been to the restaurant a few times. We ordered bún chả and pho beef ribs. Staff are friendly and the food is decent but unfortunately the dishes are inconsistent. The taste can vary each time we come.

I’ve been meaning to put a review up for awhile now for 8 monkeys but always get sidetracked and forget.. so while waiting for my meal thought perfect timing …so for me and my wife this is a Go to place to eat out and always feel very welcomed and looked after when eating here. Great tasting meals always filling especially for myself that’s 6ft 2” 120 kg and prices are great as well couldn’t recommend this place enough for me 5 stars ✨✨✨✨✨ never been disappointed

I had the egg omelette with shrimp and rice, and my partner had Hanoi style grilled pork with vermicelli. We also had a Vietnamese coffee. It was all really tasty. Really fresh and yummy. The service was excellent. We can’t wait to go back again.

Wow, I thought I knew what a great PHO was. I have to say Eight take it to a new level. PHO comes with a chilli ️ add on AMAZING . The broth was full off amazing taste spud wake ups and the meat melted in my mouth. I do wish I had a bigger tummy
