Amazing fine dining Indian restaurant, beautiful location. The view from the patio is stunning. Loved the food. We ordered non veg platter for two and saffron gosht biryani, this was my first Indian restaurant in Australia and I’m not disappointed. The hosts are amazing so are the servers. Had an amazing time.

I was really impressed by this fine dinning Indian restaurant. This is in a prime location with amazing views of the darling harbour. The food is very tasty and great presentation and mild to medium spice to cater for the majority. Lots of things of the menu to explore different textures and flavours. Great place to bring someone for a special occasion especially night time.

One of my favourite places for a fancy Indian dinner. The service is amazing and the establishment is run by an amazing manager. Always looks after us when we stop by. If you love your Indian food then this is definitely somewhere you need to visit when you are in Sydney. The location is great and if you come by on a Saturday night then ask for a table near the windows or on the balcony to see the fireworks.

Great ambience and amazing service. This is the place to go for delicious food and great cocktails. Friendly and attentive service too. Highly recommend this restaurant for dining with small or large groups. Great views and a bonus to see the fireworks at 7pm and again at 9pm. Definitely a favourite to add to our list of places to eat.

Great ambience but the food can be better…revisited after a long time on a Friday night and enjoyed the atmosphere and time spent…however I must say their food was much better before…overall a good place to go in a weekend given the surroundings and due to fact that its probably the only Indian eatery with outdoor seating in Darling Harbour…worth the visit…

Good place for an expensive lunch/dinner with a scenic view. However dining experience don’t match the price you pay. Food ordered was too salty at first. Then Biryani had too little salt. Will take minimum two hours to finish your lunch coz service is that slow. Service wasn’t that great however staff was trying their best to accommodate.

It’s hard to impress people from the Indian subcontinent by cooking Indian food. You have to very good at it. I wouldn’t say that Zaaffran’s is the best Indian food I have ever tasted, but they certainly make the cut. A culinary experience is not all about the food. The ambience, the location, the service – Zaaffran excelled in all departments. If you are after an upmarket Indian dining experience in the heart of Sydney, I would recommend this place. Be prepared to bring lots of cash!!!

I’ve heard so many great things about this place but it was such a let down! They’ve changed their menu with only little ‘meat’ option curries. The staff were unmotivated and unhelpful.. and the food was extremely average! Other than the lovely views, there’s nothing that would bring me back here unfortunately
