Our Wheeler’s Seafood Take Away Shop is a full-service fish and chippery, with the added value of being a fresh raw produce bar, selling local seafood and farm-to-plate oysters (from Wheeler’s own oyster farm) to take home, enjoy al-fresco or in our cafe setting.
Oyster Purchases
Oysters from Wheeler’s Oyster Farm can be purchased unopened, opened, or topped. Unopened oysters travel well and make a tasty souvenir from your roadtrip to Merimbula!
Cafe
We serve espresso coffee, loose leaf tea, and house-made cakes baked fresh by our restaurant’s pastry Chef.

I like oysters but not a dying fan of fresh oysters. However, it opened my eyes. It was very fresh and full of flavour without any unpleasant smell of it. We did not have enough time to try different menus but this restaurant definitely nailed oysters. I wish I could have another time to enjoy them with wine.

First time coming to wheelers for dinner and it did not let me down. For my birthday mum and I went out and enjoyed the seafood platter for 2. It isn’t a dinner to be had to fill you up, it’s more for the experience of tasting all the different sea foods they had to offer. Definitely worth trying out at least once a year for a special occasion. Thank you to the beautiful waitress who took our photo as well.

Well, the smile from a warm and friendly lady that greets you as you enter the restaurant sets the setting for the most amazing dining experience. Seriously incredible oysters with an oyster liquid garnish that will make your taste buds go in to celebration mode. The prawn with a sweet sauce again launched the taste buds into harmony. Sweet potato chips were off the charts,. Something seriously unique about this place, I think I found my saphire coast Goto restaurant You should start to get the point I am making, this is top 5 restaurants I have ever been to in terms of warmness of staff and owner as well as taste buds celebrations.

I can’t fault Wheeler’s! We come here every time we are in Merimbula. They are extremely kid friendly and the staff are so welcoming and fun. The oysters are heaven!! We also had the gnocchi which was divine, and the fish and chips were really yum although probably a little overpriced for the fish/chip ratio. Thank you Wheelers for your consistency and truly wonderful staff!

I had an amazing dining experience last night at Wheeler’s Seafood restaurant Pambula. The occasion was my 60th birthday. Right from the beginning the attention to detail, service & staff were exceptional. Our entrée, main & dessert were all superb. To top things off the staff served my dessert with a candle and then sang happy birthday. It was a most enjoyable evening and I would not hesitate to recommend.

Wheeler’s is a must-try if you are in the area and enjoy a great place. The staff was extremely kind, the interior is beautiful and food was delicious. We had oysters, quail, cod and steak. Each one of these dishes were finger licking good.

Beautiful flavours & plating, small servings. Expect to pay for quality here. The takeaway outside looked like a great alternative option for a less high-end experience.

Had a table on the deck over looking the golf course and mountains beyond. Enjoyed some bread and entrees with some local brews (pambula longstocking brewery). The oysters were delish (Vietnamese style) and scallops cooked to perfection. The whiting and pork belly were also awesome as was the desserts, choc delise and truffle panacota. Shame we’re leaving as we’d be back again.
