The food at Wharf Bar and Restaurant Ballina is simply outstanding. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, all of which are made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. I had the grilled barramundi, and it was one of the most delicious fish dishes I’ve ever had. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying vegetables were perfectly seasoned. The chef takes the time to source the freshest ingredients, and it shows in the taste of the food.

For a half busy restaurant, service was extremely slow, the food was okey, nothing outstanding. Atmosphere is amazing so it’s a shame a few things made this experience unpleasant. Not to mention we were asked for a tip? As someone who tips generally well when we go out, (and we are never asked this) I felt on this occasion the constant reminder about our drinks that we were waiting at least 25 min for , and things like salt and pepper and cutlery isn’t worthy of a tip for exceptional service. I also left my sunglasses on the table (my fault) and was told when I tried to follow up as soon as they reopened , they would check with cleaners as they weren’t there. I’m sorry but sunglasses or anything left behind, are usually picked up when the table is cleaned. They had our contact number due to our reservation. We spent about $400 and would have happily spent more if we weren’t waiting 25 min for a drink. It’s a shame as we met other local ppl in our accommodation who we recommended this place to but it’s gone down hill. We will never return. The location is a great spot so it’s a real shame that the service quality is substandard

I had a great dinner and experience at this restaurant. Having become a ‘teatotaller’, I decided to test the Warf & Bar’s hospitality skills, I asked for “A Non-Alcoholic Mocktail Paddle,” and the restaurant made a beautiful fun one without any hesitation. The food great, seating comfortable, and the staff had, and took the time to chat with me, which is always nice if they are not busy and run off their feet. Definatley would return.
