Fantastic dirty martini’s! We had the duck and it was divine. The waiter, who I think was an owner?, knew the menu back to front and was extremely accommodating to our dietary requirements. The atmosphere was also great and I’d love to go back when I’m next in town!

Great atmosphere with the green area around it and even the bar/lounge set up was beautiful. I did not have any food on the night but the cocktails were amongst the best in Port Douglas! Service is also top notch.

After the hustle and bustle of Port Douglas and the craziness of trying to get tables, we stumbled across the Watergate by sheer accident and it was amazing. Fantastic and prompt service, lovely quiet atmosphere with warm and cosy lighting. We had the tuna and the kangaroo for mains, and the breads for starters. Food was excellent and well worth the price which was very reasonable in comparison to what was on offer elsewhere. Very impressed, will be back.

Tasteful and relaxing setting, ideal for an intimate supper. The food was fresh and well thought through. I agree with other contributors – the arancini were tasteless. The menu needs to be varied regularly so as to avoid becoming stale. I enjoyed the rare tuna, my husband also enjoyed the pork cutlet, despite being overcooked and our side order being forgotten. All in all, a pleasant evening. Not the best food in town, but up there in the top five.
