Went for lunch on the weekend after reading some good reviews about this place so was keen to try it. The service was friendly upon entering, I made a booking so this was quite seamless. The customer service was great from ordering to receiving our food! The wait time wasn’t too long as we were the only ones at the restaurant as it had just opened for lunch.

Very disappointed with service. While eating our dinner at 8pm they starting packing up, closing front blinds, scraping tables and pot plants across the floor from the front straight past our table while we were eating. Half way through a waitress told us they were doing this but wouldn’t be closing for an hour and to take our time. Would have been nice to be told this from when we arrived. Food was lovely, starters came out at same time as mains which was unusual. I never ever leave bad reviews but felt hopefully the staff at this restaurant will take constructive feedback on board and improve. Wishing you all the best.

Went here for dinner last week. I had never heard of it before – it was funky. We ordered the $5 tacos, curly fries & nachos plus a few drinks. Good value & tasty, however the wait was definitely off putting. We waited 50 minutes for our food, then another 45 on top of that for dessert. Waiting for the food was understandable as it was incredibly busy and $5 taco Tuesday, but it would have been nice to have been given notice or be informed by the staff just how long the wait was. Might be back, but definitely not on a Tuesday.

Honestly, this is the best place we’ve been to on the GC! Our kids love it, mum and dad love it! The food is brilliant and it’s always fast, which is great when you have young kids. The BEST margarita on Coast I’m certain. We can’t recommend Tupe enough! Tippi and her team have nailed casual dining, with great food (tacos are so good), great service and a fun environment! If you have kids, like fuss-free but delicious food with really great drinks – then you MUST try Tupe!!! It’s a regular for us and it will be for as long as we can are on the GC!

My friend and I ordered a takeaway lunch here yesterday. With my pregnancy and her daughter’s allergies, we required amendments to the order. We were grateful of their willingness to accommodate. Ordered and told it would take 12-15 minutes. No problem. However, time kept on chugging by – 3 year old was getting restless and my feet were killing me! Kept popping our heads in to check on the progress- at no point did anyone come out to explain or apologise for the delay. There were only 2 people dining in and 2 others waiting on a nearby bench. Ended up being almost 40 minutes later that we received our food, which we were told was because the chef stuffed up and had to remake an item. How can you mess up an order when it’s SO quiet and it’s clearly spelled out on the docket?

We came out with our family including young children, for a nice meal and good vibes. That’s what we truly got. the staff were amazing!! cocktails were delicious some of the best we have had. That is also coming from a Restaurant owner/bartender. Clumsy me spilt my tequila shot and the owner replaced it free of charge and had a shot with us. Just truely what small business is meant to represent Keep up the great work guys, will definitely be back when next in town.

The atmosphere is really cool here mixing Hawaiian and Mexican. Lots of condiments to choose from on he tables. We enjoyed 2-4-1 burrito Wednesday where I had the slow cooked coconut lamb. The lamb wasn’t very hot and I couldn’t taste the coconut or chilling in it but it was still alright.
