Partner took me here for our anniversary and we had just the most lovely time. The food was amazing, the staff were so lovely, and the place, especially the setting in the bush, was gorgeous!

Dinner was great. There is a set fee of $70 per person, not including drinks and sides. Children’s dinner was $20 per child which was good value for the kids. Service staff were not entirely across what was gluten free and not. Portions were satisfying. It is a romantic location but not necessarily the best place for a large family get together. There was a possum that ran across the balcony ledge to the joy and fear of all the guests.

Food was nice enough but didn’t deliver on my expectations overall for the price, in terms of taste, presentation and menu. Particularly with the main course, with just a small, lonely cut of meat in a bit of jus and a few berries. The crispy roast potato side dish was very well cooked but came out late, so my main was cold and my husband had eaten half his main by the time it came.

Had a lovely meal here with friends! The set menu was very well thought out. I really enjoyed the Tuesday set menu, the lamb was perfectly cooked. The service was impeccable but the ambiance was rustic and not stuffy.

We absolutely loved our latest experience at Gunyah. Took some friends from the big smoke who were extremely impressed, as were we. The food was all magnificent from the bread to the dessert and a special mention to all of the wonderful staff, especially our waitress Sophie who was so helpful and bubbly.

We booked for Sundowners. The service and hospitality was great. We ordered some wine and the kids drinks and a charcuterie board which was very generous and so fresh. Our 2 kids had fun as there was a collection of board games and a chess board. The setting is so peaceful and tranquil. Definitely recommend this place to relax and unwind amongst the trees! The management were really inviting and looked after us.

You definitely pay for the experience and ambiance that this restaurant is located in, which is spectacular and really unique. It’s a set menu for $85 but they accommodate dietary requirements well. Food is very good but not exceptional. The bread you get is incredibly delicious, ask for more if you want (and might need) as the portion sizes are definitely on the smaller end. Overall, the courses were good, some better than the others but nothing mind blowing. On the other hand, staff was exceptional and you will get a great service. Wine pairings were also 10/10. Some people were dining on the terrace under cover and as there was no heating it was pretty chilly in the inside (luckily blankets are provided) and we had heaps of mosquitos (inspect spray provided by restaurant but still not ideal).

Lovely place, great food, quite the hidden gem. There is a set menu, and the meals are on the small side so definitely order some sides if you have an appetite. But all in all a lovely cosy place to eat in a little bush oasis.
