An alfresco café situated in the heart of the NSW coastal town of Ballina. Originally the Council Chambers of Ballina our iconic heritage building has since been transformed into a beautiful café space with an attached art gallery showcasing local artists. A family owned and run business, Nicole, Marty and Jackie are passionate about all things food and coffee. Marty is a chef working and gaining experience throughout Sydney and Europe. Nicole and Jackie are local sisters, growing up in the Northern NSW region with an understanding of what produce the region has to offer. We are passionate about using local fresh and seasonal produce and turning it into something beautiful.

Bit of a gem on a sunny day! Good for an early start with the warmth on you sitting at tables on the grass. Food was delicious and fresh and coffee absolutely brilliant. Thank you to the team for great friendly service. Easy to park but street parking fills up with town workers.

I came here with my three kids and the food and service were just perfect! The vegan board with avocado, pickled vegetables, roast pumpkin and so many delicious extras was just mind blowingly good. My kids said it was the best breakfast ever and they had the bacon and egg rolls. The coffee was perfect. If I could give 6 stars out of 5 I would! Definitely

Up from Sydney visiting family and have had both breakfast and lunch this week and both meals were amazing, service was second to none. Beautiful shaded spot, with easy on site parking and outdoor tables. Good for both kids and dogs and staff were so accommodating – we will be back!

A disappointing brunch…..even though we arrived 15 minutes before end of breakfast service we were reassured that service was still opened. Our order was avocado on rye and the gallery omelette. The avocado on rye sprooked heirloom tomatoes… There were no heirloom tomatoes evident on the plate and a 5ml drop of whipped goats curd over a barely ripe avo ,does not pass the pub test… the gallery omelette was also underwhelming… a few crumbs of feta, and a small portion of overcooked egg and an added ONE slice of mushroom ( $4.50 extra, are you kidding) . It appears by the quality and quantity of food on our plates it was well below par. Dogs are allowed so be prepared for dogs at the table ugghh. Will never go back as had a very similar experience previously poached pear!!! Yuck .

Arrived at the Gallery at 9:45am for breakfast today and ordered virtually straight away, 10:30am still no breakfast, waitress come to clear table next to us and asked how everything was. We informed her that we haven’t received anything yet, when waitress come back we were told that our order hadn’t been placed and that they were going to be rushed through. Finally received our meals at 11:05am.
