Called to reserve an hour beforehand and the kind manager managed to get us a table on a very busy Saturday night. Wood the waiter was very friendly and made us felt really welcome. Right from the Entree, Mains to Dessert..we truly enjoyed every bite, felt we have been transported back to our trip to France! Good choice wine list.

We had a lovely meal tonight at The French Table. Above the flavourful meals and ‘to die for desserts ‘ was the excellent staff. We felt welcome and comfortable and they really cared about us enjoying our experience. Our sons also enjoyed the fine dining experience and are very keen to return.

Delightful experience. The escargot were the best I’ve had in Brisbane, drenched in garlic butter, was only sorry there was not a bit more baguette for mopping up the remnants. The scallop entree was equally good, scallops were cooked perfectly. Pork main was beautifully soft and nicely flavoured with the croquette being a lovely addition. Creme brulee was as it should be, rich and creamy, not overly sweet and with a light vanilla fragrance balanced with with the slightly charred caramel. Service was warm and friendly. Only minor critique was that the table decor was a little lifeless, a flower or something bright would have been nice, and there was a bit of a wait for meals however this was explained due to understaffing with covid. Overall a lovely choice for a date and would go again.

The food was expensive and nothing special. Portions were small. We had the lamb and pork dishes, starters and sides. None of the dishes stand out. The service was clumsy – the staff were fumbling around trying to put dishes down and moving things, reaching across with the pepper grinder. Some of the staff were boarderline rude. In particular an older man with glasses. His conversation with us was blunt and agressive. I witnessed him disrespect the younger members of the team and shout at them which made me feel uncomfortable. The decor could do with updating. The menu or decor did not feel typically French.

Oui oui!! What a great find. We visited for lunch on a Sunday and had a great experience. The waitress was delightful and helpful and presennt enough to make sure we had drinks and everything we needed. The food was delicious and our group enjoyed delicious bread, olives, fish, lamb and desserts of crepes and sticky date pudding.
