The Butter Factory is a restaurant rich with character and history. Dating back as far as 1889, when it was a butter factory – Shoalhaven’s first and at that time NSW’s largest.
Owners, Andrew (Chef) and Maria (Front of House) are a dynamic husband and wife team who have run their restaurant, weddings, catering and events business for over 12 years. Well established in the community, Andrew and Maria love sourcing local produce and grow vegetables and flowers in their garden to share with you in their restaurant.
Enjoy rustic and seasonal country dishes, enhanced with many homemade delights! Bread baked daily on the premises.

Great find on the way, they serve fine food here with amazing views of farms and mountains. Pet friendly & garden fresh herbs & veggies also free range eggs. Nice set up and has both outdoor and indoors with ample parking. Will be back soon. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch outside with the family today. 6 adults, three kids and 2 dogs. Terrific menu with lots of different ways to construct a meal. We had share plates for 4 plus two entrees followed by 5 mains and 5 desserts plus two kids meals with ice blocks. Nice wine list. Every dish was very tasty.

Great food. We had the seafood buffet, which was good. Others had Goat’s cheese tart which was delicious, Pork belly and seafood linguine were also very good. Desserts were also delicious. Would definitely recommend, also a nice country drive.

Busy mid week during school holidays. Delicious fresh seafood platter $58 for two people. Great value. Smoked duck breast was divine; wish the meat was sliced thicker. Friendly hospitality even though they were super busy.

A really lovely restaurant in a picturesque setting. Making use of an historic building this restaurant delivers on delicious food, great service and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The food is generous and tasty, with a great selection to choose from. I would definitely recommend a visit. Also the homemade jam on sale is really delicious, with great flavour combinations.
