We have been here twice. The 1st time was awful , we didn’t get what we ordered and then when we did my husband finished before mine came. Today we thought we’d give them a 2nd chance, omg we ordered the smashed avo – it came as a mush drowned in hollandaise sauce – we asked why it was like that and not what was on the menu – the girl said the cook accidently combined 2 meals. I asked for flipped fried eggs and crispy bacon – it came as nearly raw unclipped eggs with bearly raw bacon. Both times we have been here people at other tables have also sent food back. We will never go here again.

Stopped by for a coffee in my travels. The coffee was quite nice. I had Chai Latte. The layout of the place was really good and a real country style. The only slight criticism is that being a first timer into Gympie I was asking questions and seeking conversation with staff to a rather dryish response. One gentleman quickly saw this and got into a conversation with me which I appreciated and the service was first rate after that 🙂 was

I visited again Jan 2023 and the staff are still friendly, It’s not for everyone but I love pie chips and gravy. The Brown Jug is a great place to sit for coffee and simple lunch, it is one of the few airconditioned cafes in Gympie and the staff are very helpful and happy to tweak the meal.

We only had coffees, cake and a sausage roll. All were very good, came in good time and staff were friendly. Would definitely go back. Pleasant decore and atmosphere.

Had medium chips with aioli and a works burger and they were so amazingly delicious. Great customer service and friendly staff. I highly recommend going here for a burger and hot chips. Thank you
