Husband loved his Black porterhouse steak topped with Tabasco butter. Very tender & cooked perfect for medium. I had from the specials board the Thai barramundi salad. Delicious. Not local just passing through & so glad we chose to eat here. Definitely on the list when we pass this way on route to Melbourne again. Also had very yummy desserts. To top it off really lovely friendly staff

Schnitzel was processed chicken. Used to be real chicken breast and tasted amazing. Now it’s dry. And the tomato sauce used for the parmy made it also taste soggy.

Staying next door at the motel and came in without a booking on Friday night and enjoyed our meal and the Service, it was not outstanding but it was good pub grub! Booked for Sunday, arrived and seated in a booth when we specifically asked not to have a booth (no biggey). Ordered the Thai Beef Salad and specifically asked if we could have it with no coriander… assured that was okay. Meal arrived, with coriander…. going down hill, but we were happy to have a second option. This is when I started getting pissy! With only two of us they tried to deliver my meal while they prepared Vicki’s. Then told me I would need to pay the extra $2 for a chicken schnitzel. When we got the schnitzel it looked and tasted like an over processed schnitzel from the Woolies deli. In defence of the staff, it was clear to them that I was not happy, and they wanted to fix any issues. But by this stage we had picked at our meals and just wanted to leave. It was the $2 that made me too angry to enjoy anything after that.

Can unreservedly recommend The Blazing Stump, perfectly cooked steak was so delicious, others enjoyed the flatly fillets. Must admit they did look good too. Staff were on the ball and very friendly and efficient. Gets real bz after 6.30pm so advise booking if going later.

I want to start this by saying how great the staff were at the Stump. They front of house staff went out of their way to make our visit a good one. They were friendly, funny, and quick to serve. They also made some great milkshakes. The staff are the reason I gave it 3 stars, and in fact, they deserve much more than that.

The steaks were terrible, all over cooked and tough, not worth $40 at all. Many meals with dietary requirements were ignored and messed up and had to be sent back to be fixed. The meals were appeared to be rushed out with no quality check. Only positive is the wait staff were quick to clear the table and empty glasses.
