Really good food and good value. Service is really good for such a busy place. Had the seafood Penang Curry. Not quite as the authentic version but very delicious.

Ordered through DoorDash and we were quite disappointed with the food. I’m not sure if it’s better when dining in the restaurant, but the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were sad to look at: there were barely anything else than noodles. The Pad Thai had only a couple bean sprouts, and the Pad See Ew didn’t have the nice char on the noodles. They were also a bit bland.

Had the chicken green curry. The curry soup itself is good but the chicken and veggies are just so disconnected with the soup. Service is great. The shop echoes sound and it’s very unpleasant while dining. Maybe putting some wall decorations will help. My partner got the hokkien mie and had a minor food poisoning that night.

Great customer service in a humble little place with great $12 lunch specials with rice. The only thing is, the flavours have become less authentic with time. Both the chicken ginger and the tofu green curry were too sugary sweet with little depth or kick. Still, if you like your Thai food simple tasting and sweet, then this is a great choice and one of the best-value places on King St for lunch with well presented dishes and good portions. There is a balcony upstairs that can fit 2 to 4 people.

If you wish to have a quick lunch, this is one of them you may consider. It’s a great deal especially with the special lunch menu!

I recently tried the cashew nut tofu and coconut curry rice dishes at a Thai La-ong restaurant for lunch, and I was very impressed with both the quality and value of the meal. Both dishes were delicious. The tofu in the cashew nut dish was cooked perfectly and the cashews added a nice crunch. The coconut curry rice was also very tasty, with a creamy and slightly spicy sauce that paired well with the rice.

Authentic Thai flavors with friendly staff. Chick larb salad and Chili Basil stir fry were pretty good. Green curry lacking some green color and herbiness (if that’s a word). Deep fried ice cream is a must try and I give them credit for using coconut in the crust for creativity Nice vibe and great place for casual hang out.
