Have been eating here for more than 4 years now but the quality is just getting worse. Prices on the plates are up a lot but the quantities are just getting smaller and smaller. The salmon sashimi is only about half the size each cut then it used to be and the chef’s explanation of the Ikura, which didn’t even have enough roe to cover the rice, is that the price of each bottle has gone up $100 and her apprentice made the base bigger.

Really poor quality! Salmon was a very small portion but tasted extremely old. Rice was old. Every piece we had fell apart. My partner & I gave it the benefit of the doubt & shared 4 plates then left & went to maki moto . Completely underwhelming & very disappointing.

I can’t think of anything that would encourage me to give more than a 1 star rating. Staff were abrupt and uninterested. I ordered several freshly made sushi rolls only to have them picked off the train in front of me. The items they were bothered enough to make came out after 40 minutes. They weren’t particularly busy either so can’t even lean on that as an excuse.

The sushi here is always fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is mostly good – sometimes the choice of music is a little too hard style for my taste (and loud). Service is pretty good too, they come over straight away when you manage to get their attention and your order (if ordering) is always right.

Portions are small, understaffed and service is very poor. Very expensive for the portions you get. They have a good variety but again not worth it and portions are very little for the price you pay

I’m not sure if they wash their plates, but the lids aren’t definitely washed, which can be a concern for people with allergies. Customer service needs a big improvement as well.

I have been going to sushi bay on and off for a few years now and they are always welcoming and the food is good. I do suggest ordering the chilli chicken or chilli salmon, they are not on the menu and they are very spicy but very tasty.
