A Japanese restaurant with a interesting and extensive menu that’s both familiar and yet a little different. As you walk in, there’s a main dining room with your usual table configurations, and to the left is a semi private dining room with traditional sunken seating for a more special experience for groups.

Ok for sashimi, and maybe sushi rolls. We ordered the Sashimi Large Platter, Salmon sushi roll, Karaage Don and Pork Rib Don. The sashimi was quite pricey, but at least it was fresh and the cut was thick. For context, We were served 4 slices of salmon, 4 slices of kingfish and 4 little scallops and that costed us 50 AUD. The Salmon roll had cooked salmon inside the roll and was dry, which is a bit disappointing. But I love the generous salmon sashimi on top of the rolls. I live nearby, so might come back for sashimi or sushi roll cravings, but won’t go near the dons again. They were soggy and the flavours were all over the place, neither unique nor authentic.

Based on the menu selection, food quality and service, this is definitely not an authentic Japanese restaurant. One of my friends ordered tempura udon. She bit the fish tempura but found that it’s not well cooked. The staff just recooked the REMAINING part of the fish by microwave instead of preparing another dish for her. Another friend ordered gyūdon. Surprisingly, it’s just like fried beef with onion and plenty of sauce — like beef rice bowl in soup. The rice didn’t taste like Japanese rice. Extremely disappointed and never come back.

This is our local Japanese restaurant which we visit at least once a month for a meal. The food is fresh and tasty. There is a good range on the food menu. The portions are good and the prices are very good. This is a restaurant we need to support. Well done.

I’ve been here a few years ago and quite enjoyed it but this time round, I was quite disappointed. Although the place is small, it’s atmosphere for dining isn’t too bad. Food overall was average, not the very authentic Japanese flavours but still taste good. Chicken karage was nice but a bit over done, colour too dark from deep frying. The chicken Teppanyaki was an absolute disappointment… you pay for a main dish price but gets only tiny portion of chicken on the plate (see photo) which is absolutely ridiculous considering chicken aren’t that expensive to buy. The sauce for it was also super salty.

Nice and cozy setting with a spacious private seating area that could easily fit in a group of 12 people. Staff are friendly and helpful. Foods are great and reasonably priced. Perfect restaurant for quick dinner and causal dinner party.
