I’ve been here twice now and each time I have the best meals and best service. Food comes out super quick and it feels like fine dining. This time they gave me a delicious gin recommendation and before that great red with what we were eating. Great cocktail choices as well but at the end of the day the food never disappoint. We ordered 4 dishes and two drinks and ended with about $140 altogether which isn’t bad for two plus we took away a few dishes for next day lunch so perfect!

Delicious Asian Fusion food, not too much choice on the menu, but enough to find something we wanted to try. The special beef dumplings were yummy, as was the rice cake/prawn bite. The only letdown was the beef Rendang curry, which was not quite a Rendang – albeit still tasted great. The highlight was the banana fritter dessert, which was just devine! Service was friendly and polite. Prices are on the high end for lunch, so it’s maybe better/nicer for special occasions.

We enjoyed the SugarCane as a group of four and the food and service was really nice. Only point the Long Black coffee tested a bit sour and was not so good. But the rest of the food and drinks were fantastic.l

Sugarcane in Coogee, Sydney, is truly a gem of a restaurant, with its fusion of Asian and Western flavors creating a unique dining experience. The selection of choices is impressive and the service is amazing, making it easily one of my favourite local dining spots. The environment is also top-notch, making for an all-around fantastic dining experience. Highly recommended
