Had a lovely experience here. The entrance looks normal but the interior is nicely decorated with Chinese elements. The restaurant is pretty empty on Sunday night. We had the coconut fowl soup, the Budda delight soup, two fish dishes, lamb, chicken, pumpkin rice. The soup were good but the portion was small for its price. The rice didn’t look very appealing but I like it. The other dishes are so so.

Soup was lovely, I was pleased I couldn’t taste any MSG. And dessert was also a highlight too (steamed papaya)

Not very impressive from the outside BUT the interior is quite the opposite. Lovely dishes and exceptionally nice soups. Excellent service . The good food comes with the price and certainly not for those with a mortgage …

I don’t know how I came to love soup so much, I think I simply grew up drinking it. Soups to me is very important, I can drink any kind of soup every single day!

My favourite haunt for double steamed soup in Sydney (or anywhere?). Also recommend their scallop egg white fried rice (hello wok hei) and their black vinegar pork ribs (special order only) and oysters. Yum!

Conveniently located close to major attractions in Haymarket, Steam King offers unique and one-of-a-kind dishes that are not your typical Asian food. Some of the dishes are Cantonese influenced and the others are quite common type of dishes.

Authentic Cantonese restaurant – table reservation is recommended for group as the space is very limited. The soups here are so far the best, and the stir fry are also delicious. The food here is expensive but the quality is worth the price.

Most of dishes are steamed, very healthy and tasted awesome! The Buddha jumped over the wall is my favourite dish! The shark-fin cooked at a whole batch which you couldn’t find the same quality anywhere else in Sydney. Visited this place a few times and will go back at least 3 times a year. However I don’t suggest any large group booking. It’s perfect for small group no more than 4 ppl.
