A Thai restaurant with a great atmosphere. We sat outside on a beautiful Port Douglas night which was stunning! It was super busy and the staff were able to handle this well. The Pad Se Ew was absolutely delicious – probably the best we have ever had!! The Oyster sauce stir fry was also exceptional! However, we ordered a few seafood dishes that had a chilli ️ representing spicy on the menu. We asked if the dishes were spicy and were told that they were extremely mild. When they came, the spice level was through the roof. We told the staff and they were extremely quick to remake the dish from scratch which was impressive! The seafood was cooked extremely well, with the squid being a highlight! Thank you for a delicious meal!

The star of Siam restaurant was very much a highly recommended place in the area so we had high expectations. These were not met, as we had a less than great experience here. Some positives, the pad se ew and oyster beef were very good and service was relatively fast. Now the problems. We ordered 2 steamed rice, got three, ordered 2 dishes with less chilly and was some of the spiciest food we have ever eaten and turned oh that we ordered the same thing twice, just with some noodles on it. When they brought back the dishes with no chilly they were completely flavourless. They should have asked if we wanted something else as they knew it had little flavour but only told us when it was brought to us.

Very nice Thai food. Would recommend the tom yum soup and the baked barramundi.

Restaurant was extremely busy- in fact a little too crowded (I was awkwardly standing/trying to move out of everyone’s way while waiting for my order). Ordered takeaway coconut rice & beef/vegetables with oyster sauce, it was good but definitely not the best Thai I’ve had. They also put saffron into the coconut rice which was a little unappetising & made it taste a bit weird. For $28, it wasn’t exactly overpriced but definitely not good enough for a second visit.

Loved the food, top quality and at affordable price, we also went byo and only got charged for glass usage so top night at a very reasonable price! Staff were my very helpful and friendly.

Good tasty Thai and a welcome change to the rest of the repetitive cuisine around. We only got take away so I can’t really comment on the atmosphere or service but the food was good. We had the green curry with chicken, spring rolls and chicken Singapore noodles. All were good. Chicken was cooked well and wasn’t at all fatty (which is all too common), the green curry had some spice in it (mild but you could actually taste some chilli which appears to be a rarity in port douglas) and the Singapore noodles were good too. Prices were average and reasonable.

Best Thai restaurant in Port Douglas. The food was excellent and I loved the pink lemonade. Everyone was very friendly and even though we didn’t have a reservation and the restaurant was very full, they were able to seat us at a table for two. Special thanks to Gynes who took the order and was very nice and gentle. We would definitely come back.

Firstly, my partner and myself had no idea what to get for dinner. We asked the waitress what was best on the menu; she informed us the chicken curry was really good! And, it was ABSOLUTELY amazing! Besides the weather being really hot and the room not air conditioned enough: the chicken was soft and the taste to perfection (I have been to Thailand and have tasted Thai food). I couldn’t leave without sending our feedback back to the cook. Absolutely splendid. Eaten here twice in our one week stay and was craving it every day. You’ll definitely have to open a place in Melbourne! Otherwise, I’ll have to keep coming back to Port Douglas frequently!
