Friendly staff, not unreasonable prices, decent food and pretty good drinks (coffee is a bit weak so order an extra shot).

Small cafe with great outdoor seating in the back corner of Parliament building. Very few people when not in session. Two small scones with jam and coffee $8.50, but food in Darwin is generally expensive. A fountain provides nice white noise ambience.

Lovely little spot! Enter through security at the parliament and walk straight through. Great little cafe with great indoor and outdoor sitting options. Food was fresh, substantial and excellent. You can see why Karen has won some significant awards! Had the smashed avo, long black, croissant and some toast for the kids.

Darwins best kept secret cafe. Don’t let the Parliament House security checkpoint put you off. Those guys are friendly and helpful. Go through to a wonderful hall with stunning views and fountain as well. Then go to the corner of that hall and find the best Cafe seats with shade umbrellas and with an unbeatable view over the harbour, manicured lawn, great coffee, good food and no crowds. Go figure!

Cosy Cafe in the heart of Parliament House. Casual dining in aircon or outside on the terrace with fabulous harbour views. Very relaxing vibe with lots of greenery and a fountain. Food good quality cafe fare at a reasonable price.

Excellent setting. Nice views. Friendly staff.food was really tasty and so were the drinks. Nice coffee . Great aircon. Can get busy. Several tables have access power points. Close to library (which isn’t open on Mondays as we discovered).

The smoothie I had was great (you can design your own), but the savoury muffin was inedible. It tasted overwhelmingly like baking powder and plain flour. Beautiful view though, and there is a large selection of food. Note that the menu is not offered after 2pm, only pre-made foods in the cabinet are available from then (and they are all served cold only).

What a great find this place was. The staff were friendly and helpful, the menu was good and offered gluten free options. Food and the coffee was good.
