Some of the reviews on here must be a joke, I’ve dined here on a number of occasions with my wife and 2 young children and have had nothing but great experiences every time. Plenty of books and colouring pages with pencils offered to help entertain the kids, the food has been amazing every time and some of the best pizzas we have had. We have ordered take away pizza also and was cooked perfectly, and in a decent time frame on a busy Saturday night. Smolt has been one of our favourite places to eat at since moving to the area, and try get here as often as we can, I highly recommend! The reviews about being pushed out the door and having to negotiate with staff to go back in for their child sounds like absolute nonsense, staff are all quite friendly and I have never seen anything to suggest this type of behaviour at all.

Enjoyed our dinner at this consistently good local cafe. Half price parmies with any drink purchase on Wednesday nights is a good deal. Garlic pizza delicious as was the pork sausage and mushroom pizza. Beef burger got 10/10 too! Friendly staff and quick service. Recommend booking as it was full on a Wed night.

Came for coffee and wished we could have stayed for dinner with all those glorious local wines and brews. But honestly you gotta give this place the full 5 star bonanza for the decor I’ve never seen anybody pull off mid century modern futurism with such panache before.

Great place for a brunch with plenty of parking close by. Quick,, friendly and efficient service. You can choose from a multitude of food and drinks. I had the Grilled haloumi yesterday which is delicious, but all the meals are tasty. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, but I recommend booking between peak times. There’s also a limit of about 2 hours for each booking. Dogs are welcome outside and the even provide a water bowl for them 🙂

This is our regular cafe and we make the trip almost every Saturday. The food is excellent, the service friendly and it isn’t as squishy as some other cafes so you can hear yourself talk. There are plenty of fresh vegetarian options, I love the Haloumi, pink eyes and humus salad – absolutely delish. Coffee is good and plenty of kid friendly options too.

Cheap plastic decor, going for that diner look just to attract hippies, an out of touch vibe overall. Mediocre menu items, topped with attempted theft by inputting wrong number on eftpos machine. Brings shame to the beautiful neighbourhood.
