Excellent meal and beautiful setting. Service was impeccable and we loved the whole experience. It was a special treat for lunch after travelling and working for 4 months and it met expectations. Mushroom soup and bread as amuse bouche, then lovely burrata and beetroot, gorgeous steak and then crème brûlée. So good. Lovely relaxed winery lunch. Highly recommend

We had the 3 course lunch and people in our group ordered different dishes. All of us were very underwhelmed. For the price of the meal we were expecting the quality to be quite good. But it was all very average at best. But the staff were excellent. Go to Printhie instead.

The setting was wonderful even though the day was damp and misty. We had a 2.30pm booking and had been approached the day before to see if we wanted an earlier time but as we were driving from Sydney that did not suit. The service was excellent though, value for money, the two courses did not do the $90 + wine cost justice. Our courses came out very quickly and then when we were deciding whether to have coffee our bill was placed on the table. As we were not too fazed about not having coffee we did not bring that to their attention although in most restaurants of that standing we would have expected to be asked if we required anything else or at the least asked if we wanted the bill. We had read on the brochure that it was a long leisurely lunch…….

It was way below average. The dishes tasted weird, especially all the sauce. Produce were disappointing, sirloin was a bit chewy. The only good thing was the bread. The fig tart was ok. I would have thought one of the good looking winery/restaurant will have really nice food.

Went to Sister’s Rock for dinner with my husband whilst on a weekend getaway to Orange from Sydney. When I booked I advised them that I was vegetarian and they said that no problem – they could accommodate even though it was a set menu – 2 course for $90. I was assured there was flexibility in the menu. Unfortunately, when we arrived and I saw the menu and discussed it with the waiter I wasn’t given any options. There were no vegetarian choices for entree and the only option available was to remove meat from one dish but they didn’t add anything, thus the entree was very bland. I did ask if they could do a cheese plate but was advised this wasn’t an option. For mains there was a pasta dish which I didn’t like and the only other choice I was given was a cauliflower steak. I thought I would give it a go. It was the worst food I have eaten. I don’t know anyone who can eat half a cauliflower which was undercooked. We chose a chardonnay and unfortunately this was served at room temperature. Luckily, we had a wine cooler but still we should have been advised that the wine we had chosen wasn’t chilled and we could have chosen something else. We should have sent it back but we thought it would cool down in the cooler. It didn’t. My husband enjoyed his food and the atmosphere lovely but I wouldn’t go back to this restaurant again.

Beautiful meals enjoyed by everyone in our group, duck rillette, confit octopus, linguine, pork belly, gingerbread pudding, deconstructed honey tart all beautifully presented by smiling and helpful staff with fantastic views to top it off. The booking phone call was also lovely and professional with great communication. Thank you for a fabulous dining experience…..

Fantastic. View and service were top notch. Dishes presented beautifully and mostly delicious. Great selection of wines. The celeriac salad and pork pasta dishes are a must.

Our group of six had a very disappointing lunch at the Sisters Rock restaurant. The wonderful views are the only thing the place has going for it. The service was woeful: had to wait well over an hour after our mains to receive dessert and our waiter was bored and uninterested to the point of rudeness. The food was grossly overpriced at $90 for two courses that were small servings of basic and poorly cooked food. The steak was gristly and over-cooked and accompanied by two limp kale leaves (that had been ambitiously described on the menu as ‘a side of garden greens’). Likewise the pork belly was a very thin slice that was about entree size at best. The menu also didn’t include any options of sides, such as fries, vegetables or salads, to order for the table to help pad out the small servings. The three dessert options on the menu all sounded delicious but were also disappointing: again: small servings of underwhelming food.

A fabulous restaurant – simple food done well. The staff were friendly and knew the menu well. Portions were generous for both food and wine. Very relaxed atmosphere in elegant surroundings. A great place to relax and dine after a day of exploring the local wineries and sampling local produce. We will definitely return on our next visit to Orange, and recommend staying in the on site accommodation (I don’t believe there is a better view than from laying in bed!).
