I was a little stuck for the perfect cake for my Mums 70th weekend away. I rang Shop Ate the day before we were heading away (classic) with little hope that they would be able to help at such late notice, however they were kind enough to take on the challenge and agreed to make me a coffee and walnut cake. They said it would be ready by midday on the day we were departing, it sounded too good to be true.

I and my grandmother come to this cafe at least once a month. It doesn’t matter what you order, it’s always fresh and tastes fantastic! The coffee is 11/10 and the cakes are out of this world! Staff is super friendly, they make an effort to get to know you and treat you like family. This little intimate cafe will not disappoint you! 🙂

A great experience, thank you. We propped ourselves at one of the front benches. Note there are lower seats and tables away from the front. Only seats about 20, so can get quite snug. Our dishes were about $20 each and was a huge serving. Coffee was perfect. A great welcoming vibe about this place. I would highly recommend.

Very weird experience. I paid for lasagne and coffee. Their coffee is excellent. The lasagne was disappointing. But worse than a bad lasagne, was my card for my bank went missing. I had paid at the counter for my food, sat down and when I went to leave my card was missing. Staff looked for my card – behind the bench etc, but it could not be found. Instead of being kind and helpful, they were almost aggressive and very ‘put out’.

An outstanding dining experience. Wonderful staff, great coffee, a sensational menu, and absolutely excellent quality food that’s as delicious as it gets. It’s a very cosy place, and a little eclectic in a very good way. Eat in, enjoy the atmosphere, and love life!
