Sassafras is your go-to café for premium specialty coffee, all-day breakfast, brunch & lunch. Try our all-day breakfast and lunch menu with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options available. Indulge in our freshly baked cakes, slices and muffins, shakes & smoothies are all made here in our café restaurant in Paddington, Brisbane. Open 7 days a week, we’re located on Latrobe Terrace, Paddington opposite the Paddington Central shopping centre. Looking for Event space? Our Chef’s Table is a new edition, offering an intimate bespoke experience for 6 to 10 people. Or hire our hidden courtyard for up to 90 people.

My Husband and I had our wedding reception here and were absolutely blown away with how it went. The food was amazing (our friends and family gave many compliments, and still do), the staff worked so hard (including the owner Chris who was a delight to work with) to ensure things ran smoothly, the atmosphere was lovely, and we just had the best evening with our loved ones. We go back often to eat with our family and friends. 100% recommend for any important event in your life!

Visited here on my last day in Brisbane. I was blown away by everything about this place. Has a gorgeous homely feel about this whole place and we were greeted by all the friendly staff as we walked in. The menu wasn’t complicated and there was something for anyone there. Highly recommend this place if you’re wandering through Paddington, you won’t be disappointed.

Paddington always surprises, Sassafras of Paddington has such a Relaxing atmosphere, take your time and relax and eat wonderful food, sip great coffee! Can’t wait to try the new yummy dinner menu, cocktails and tacos and more, Launching Saturday the 6th of May, The venue is funky inside and decorated with vibrant local art work for sale.

A great first visit to this quirky and friendly cafe for brunch. Definitely has a great vibe and I guess they have lots of crowds at the weekend. I had poached eggs on toast with avocado & bacon on the side with a mango smoothie . All very enjoyable. Particularly liked the themed/special events they put on like the smoke night with bbq foods -wish I was in town longer to try it.

Great local coffee shop that makes you appreciate small business efforts with great quality. The staff is very welcoming and take care of you as soon as you walk in. I had a delicious chai tea with honey . They had great fresh bakes and other sandwiches. Nice Garden area to sit in the back. I would come back next time in the neighborhood.
