Usually very happy with this cafe and their services, being close to my place of work it’s a lovely little spot to grab a coffee or something to eat on lunch. This was until one day I was met with an abundance of hairs in my egg and bacon roll. And by abundance, I mean, I could’ve replaced the own hairs on my head with the hair I found inside my roll. Exceptionally disappointed, and furthermore, lunchless. 🙁

Wow! Had breakfast here and the food was fresh and delicious. Service by Razz and Michael was polite, helpful, prompt and with smiles – it’s great to see the wait staff enjoying the job. We had Eggs Benedict and All Day Breakfast; everything on the plate was tasty and cooked perfect to our liking. Will be back. Thank you

Sign said wait to be seated but no body seated us despite staff standing around chatting. We ordered from the app because there was no information anywhere to tell us if there was table service or not. The coffees were burnt and so hot you couldn’t touch the latter glasses. Ordered 2 big breakfasts. Completely dry. Had to ask for butter for the toast. The Mushrooms were so old they were obviously cooked the day before and kept overnight because they were served fridge cold, dry shrivelled up. The sausage was luke warm at best so also not cooked fresh.

After checking out of our accommodation we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast & even though I’d read some low reviews about this place it certainly surpassed our expectations. Very busy cafe with efficient staff promptly serving everyone. We didn’t wait long for our food which was absolutely delicious! We both ordered smashed avo & coffees which were good too. Very spacious cafe with a cool vibe. We were also pleasantly surprised to get the $10.95 special for ordering before 11am which was an excellent deal. I liked that all the staff wore same colours. Highly recommend this place! In fact we will probably have breakfast there again before departing Hobart.

lots of outside tables and shade, two kids play areas. plenty of space to manoeuvre a wheelchair or pram, but wheelchair users might struggle to find somewhere to actually sit as the outdoor furniture seems to be bolted down and would be a bit awkward to pull up next to. inside might be easier.

Had a delicious lunch at Red Square cafe today. Got the halloumi & spinach fritters and also a coffee and a cookie for dessert. Food was fantastic and service fabulous. Highly recommend!

Ordered the salt and pepper squid. I was served a terrible Asian salad with 5 bits of soggy, plain tasting squid on top. That was after watching my drink sit on the counter for 5 mins, went in and asked if it was mine, got a grunt and was told I could take it. Terrible experience. Will not be back.

At the time of writing this, breakfast prices are $12.95 until 10:30am. They have big portions, drinks can be a bit princely. No view but the interior is styled.
