Red Spice Road offers excellent service and a pleasant ambiance that make for an enjoyable dining experience (big & small groups!) The staff is proactive, attentive, and ensures that you have a great time. While the overall food at Red Spice Road was decent, the standout dish for me was the delicious lamb ribs. The food portion was generous too. However, I must mention that some of the other dishes were average and slightly on the salty side, which left me a bit disappointed. Nonetheless, the outstanding service and pleasant atmosphere at Red Spice Road make it a worthwhile choice. Would love to give their food another try in the future 🙂

A wonderful dining experience. Food was absolutely delicious. The ambience of the restaurant was great – not too loud to have a conversation but busy enough that you never felt awkward!

A usual business lunch spot. They have a great and a very affordable weekday express menu for 5 dishes for $45 (menu changes every few months). Pork belly is a must have plus Civeche tastes amazing too and all curries are yummy. I wish there was a nice dessert too – have tried the sago pudding but it was not that great.

We did the Tuk set menu with a large group of 16. The food was delicious and we had our own room which gave us great flexibility. Very accommodating in both dietary restrictions and any changes to our group. Would definitely eat here again. Food is delicious!

Red Spice Road, much like the Yellow Brick Road, transports you to a magical land full of surprises. A large food hall type setting is filled with long bench tables and there is an exciting if not frantic energy in the room. Stove and I stopped in for dinner to replenish our energy stores as we searched greater Melbourne for Dirk who had gone AWOL earlier in the week. We sampled croquettes, betel leaf salads, lamb ribs and a kingfish sashimi with grapefruit. The flavours were provocative and stirred something within me, much like the paintings on the wall. A wonderful blend of sweetness and spice, chilli and rice. The one dish that fell short was the fish sashimi, which may not have been as fresh as hoped as the dish of fish had a strong fishy flavour which I believe should be absent from such a fish dish. The service, while friendly, was on the slower side but this may have been down to the sheer number of customers.
