Each Sunday they serve a sunday roast for only $15 normally good value, sunday just gone was roast beef. The peas, gravy & roast pumpkin were fantastic but the potato was still raw that a knife would not go into & the beef was mostly gristle and so overcooked I could hardly chew. I made a formal complaint to the staff who couldn’t give a rat’s arse, sorry picnic bay pub you have lost me forever

I only ordered a grilled fish with salad. Waited 1 hour, told the waiter 3 times that we need to go to catch the ferry. When I went the last time after 1hs waiting he said 15 minutes, so I just left. I was not the only client who needed to leave without having her food ready, without no money back of course. Menu is burgers and fish and chips, nothing creative or healthy. For my 3 year old I wanted to order an avocado toast ( that was on the breakfast menu) and of course no way! So no flexibility, junk food & the slowest service ever… They simply don’t care…

Myself and my friend ordered pizzas. Wouldnt think you could get too much wrong with a pizza. Unfortunately, no flavour, dry, chewy base (possibly a frozen base), minimal sauce or cheese. Genuinely myself and my friend found it hard to eat and couldn’t finish it at all. Pros were nice staff and a good lemon and lime bitters but that’s about it!

Amazingly friendly staff, fabulous mixed grill seafood plate with super fresh seafood cooked delicately and NO ugly horrible batter…the bugs, prawns and scallops were juicy and light…10 out of 10
