The place doesn’t look much from the outside but don’t let looks deceive you. The service was unbelievably warm and friendly staff quick professional service. The service was good, the people were nice, the price was good. Some of the food served wasn’t as expected. Not what you would get from other Chinese restaurants elsewhere. The restaurant was very full and noisy. It was also very warm, more than I like. Byo alcohol. Not wheelchair friendly. Takeaway available and recommended. Cash and credit card accepted.

Had pork with plum sauce: pork was super dry and sauce over sweet. Mongolian beef was sinewy. Fried rice bland. Maybe other dishes are nicer but don’t order these.

I only went here after reading many great reviews and I’m glad I did. I order take away almost every time I stay in Portarlington. Their take away lunch menu is well priced and taste delicious. I get the beef and black bean and chicken satay and they both taste great as they’re freshly made. I think the interior and exterior could do with an update/some fresh paint to make the place look more appealing. If I hadn’t read great reviews then I wouldn’t have walked in the restaurant purely as I didn’t like the look of the exterior.

We loved the food here, especially the curried beef and excellent hokkien noodles, good old fashioned takeaway, clear and flexible gluten free options, staff were helpful and friendly, nice park opposite.
