We have a few go-to places for pho in Chatswood and Pho U is one of our favourites. While it is not a particularly fancy place, the food is fresh and flavoursome, reasonably priced and served quickly with a smile. Standing orders for our family consist of the rare beef pho (or a bun in hot weather), grilled pork chop on rice with an egg (for hubby) and either vegetarian spring rolls or lemongrass beef winter rolls. Perfect for an easy meal out when you don’t feel like cooking. Warning to children: potential for your parents to be embarrassing as they feel compelled to sing along to the slightly retro 80’s easy listening tune being played.

First time seeing a Vietnamese restaurant which offer flexible combination for beef pho. I chose the beef pho with four toppings. The taste was quite good but I felt like the toppings could be a bit more. The pork chop rice was impressive, well marinated and soft. Unfortunately the shop had only two tables of customers in the peak hour. Hopefully more customers can visit.

Love the Pho here! The beef soup is excellent. Won’t feel thirsty after finishing all of the soup. The beef can be a bit rawer but I think it may be adjusted to the public flavour. Not scaring people with red raw meat I guess? Quite large portion. The soup is super hot when serving.

Great authentic Vietnamese Pho, Great location, Excellent customer service, Highly recommend to everyone!!! Very delicious & unique taste of Pho. Extremely rare to find this kind of traditional Vietnamese Pho in Sydney nowadays. Reasonable price with multi-choices of beef toppings. Would love to enjoy it everyday if the owner opens new branch in Melbourne

I love this place. The Pho(specialised)will never disappoint you. Very generous with vegetables, the mints given really adds the aroma to the soup.

Had lunch there on a Wednesday afternoon. Food was delicious, price was reasonable, and service was good. I ordered a beef pho with 4 choices of toppings, and a lemongrass beef rice paper roll. The pho was very tasty, broth is nice I didn’t feel thirsty after drinking the whole bowl of soup. The toppings (beef balls and meats and tripe) was slightly less than I thought but overall it was a good bowl of pho. The rice paper roll was okay, the peanut sauce was quite tasty. The service was superb too, the waitress was friendly and polite, and she closed the blinds for my toddler when the sun was getting into my girl’s eyes without me asking her to do so. I’ll definitely come back to try other foods!

The hanoi bun was delicious and a generous portion. The pho was nice although portions seem to have reduced compared to before ($18 for rare beef and $21 for combination). The satay pho was interesting and quite spicy.
