We came here a couple of times due to one of our friends raving about the food here. However, I personally don’t like the food here. I have tasted better authentic Vietnamese dishes and I can tell you that the dishes here are not authentic at all. It has a modern taste to it hence why everytime we dine in here, there are hardly any Asian guests dining in here. The food tastes very generic compare to other vietnamese restaurants around in Marrickville.

Unbeatable Vietnamese food and unmatched efficiency by the staff! It’s a bit loud and busy but that all contributes to the atmosphere, the food comes out quick and is cheap and amazing. Worth venturing off the pho menu because while the soup is awesome their stir fry’s and pork chop combo plates are crazy

Succulent tofu in an oyster sauce with crispy broccoli, beans, peas, carrots, in a tasty oyster sauce, a heap of steamed rice, and a fragrant and punchy vermicelli salad, a bun, with a spicey hit of chilli in oil. A truly sweet lunch at this Marrickville place. Next time I’ll get the tofu and veggie pho. Definitely worth a visit.

Ordered dinner and what arrived was nothing short of disgusting. I ordered tomato rice, 2 and from the photos you can see those 2 meals don’t look alike. The smell was off.

Sorry it’s taken me so long to try this place. It’s spot on, and probably a contender for the best Vietnamese in Marrickville. Big call! You have to get the salt and pepper tofu, even if you can’t finish it. The pork and spring roll vermicelli, and shaking beef were also the best we’ve had in the area. They get busy, so plan your visit. They also serve their food in The Marrickville Hotel – amazing, right!

Caught up with our besties and decided to go to PHD. Had the salt and pepper tofu, salt and pepper squid, salt and pepper eggplant, spring rolls and vermicelli spring rolls. This restaurant is super busy however food came out super fast! All dishes were absolutely amazing! the salt and pepper eggplant and salt and pepper squid were so delicious that you really can’t stop at just a few. The texture and taste were spot on and probably the best we’ve tasted. The tofu was also very delicious. The vermicelli rolls had the perfect balance of flavours and the dipping sauce I could have drank! …. it was that good! The portion sizes were very generous and the staff were all so friendly and hospitable. We will most certainly make PHD a regular spot now ….. defs worth the drive!

Horrible food. Ordered vermicelli and salad chicken and it looks like vomit. They promised lettuce when we asked and this is what we got.
