When I went to order there was a person behind the counter sitting down with her feet up playing with her phone (probably on a break). I waited for the teller to come back while I watched the young lady on her phone.

Food was okay, just your stockstandard Australian Chinese food. Though serving size could be larger for the sweet and sour pork – abit on the pricier end; nicely decorated restaurant and friendly staff.

We had a delicious dinner here & its obvious why its so popular! It would have been nice to receive table service to order, however current Covid restrictions preclude this & you must order & pay in advance at the front.

The meal at the Orient Restaurant, Twin Towns Club and Resort, was the worst asian meal my husband and I have ever had. His salt and pepper squid was inedible, because it was so salty. 2 minute noodles would have been tastier than my wonton soup. The stock base was hot water – it had no taste at all. The mixed entree and dimsims for entree were disappointing as well. We have had better results from the supermarket freezer. The one star is for the friendly staff.

While I wouldn’t say this is the best Asian restaurant in Queensland, it’s certainly far from being the worst. Tasty food in generous portions, with both dim sum and ala carte options available.

Food was great, staff were good. Very busy and getting to put an order in was awful. No table service for placing an order. Long line of people standing from counter at entrance right round past the bar. Difficult for people to access entrance and exit, extremely hard to get to the bars people lined up in front of it. We bought a drink each to enjoy with our meal but never got up to get another because of queue.

Good looking restaurant But highly overrated and expensive for what you get served. Drink prices greatly inflated, who charges $12.50 for a CC & dry, that’s worse than pub prices.

We ordered the fried rice, satay chicken and chicken and cashews. The chicken and cashews was AMAZING, the satay chicken was great flavour and served on a sizzling plate, the rice was the reason for 4 stars and not 5. It could’ve done with a little more flavour, but I also never eat frozen veggies and unfortunately that’s what’s in the fried rice
