The rest of the group thought it was great and seemed to love the food. As I gave 3 stars I would say it was ok. Nothing remarkable. What was remarkable was the carpet on the wall. All restaurants should have this. Unlike almost all other restaurants it was quiet. We could hear ourselves talk and talk to the people across the table. Simply amazing and so simple. 5 stars for this. Service was fair. It took ages for our order to be taken. The food came fairly quickly. We had the lunch special which has reasonable variety. I didn’t think much of the curry puff or dim sum entree and would rate them as 2 star and would not order again. The place is one the river and is very pretty. Parking out front was easy. We were there in May and it was quite quiet

I have to admit that I had reservations about this place even before we ordered our meal. It’s not particularly clean and bizarrely enough, they were selling ex-rental DVDs in the middle of the restaurant… a great way to spread germs.

Very busy. Takeaway customers waited a long time. We were given our meal a bit quicker. No prawn crackers to eat and ponder the menu. We needed to order first and it cost $4

Food was good but that was it.. 1.5 hours we waited until entree came out..2 hours we waited for main meals. No one came to check on us, no one came to tell us there may be a long wait time. Everyone in the restaurant tonight was very unhappy. So many tables were getting frustrated. We saw another table get up and complain as they were there waiting for food as long as we were. Communication is everything but it very much lacked. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

Best value for money take away in batemans bay!!! Their food is always nice, not salty ( which is a big bonus, once it’s salty you can’t change it), special fried rice is outstanding!salt & pepper pork ribs is also amazing! if dine in is a little bit of waiting but it is definitely worthwhile

I arrived right on opening time and had the place to myself before it started to get busy. There’s on street parking and a parking lot opposite the restaurant. Plain in appearance from the outside, I honestly found it hard to find. The restaurant was beautifully decorated on the inside though. The wait staff were polite, well presented, quiet yet responsive to my requests. I note the monsters tip jar was half full, an indication of what to expect maybe? I sat at a table by a window and was greeted to beautiful natural light and a view of boats sailing by on the water.

Really tasty black pepper beef and pork chow mein. As good as anywhere! Special fried rice was also lovely and prawn crackers fresh and tasty. Really excellent meal all round and charming staff.
