We had a fantastic meal at New Chinese. We rang ahead to secure a booking as we weren’t sure about density limits due to COVID. We also wanted to let them know in advance that we were coming in with a Seeing Eye Dog, and they secured a quiet table for us in the front corner.

Very very helpful and friendly staff. Super cool decor and an aaaaamazing plant in reception. Rather pricey- we haven’t eaten the food yet but hopefully its worth it! From the customer service point of view I will certainly be coming back.

Authentic old school Chinese Restaurant, decor is delightfully genuine retro. Friendly prompt staff, food was quick and served with nostalgic garnishes that made me smile. Plenty of vego options, and different cuisines, from Thai to Malaysian, even a kids menu with fish and chips for any fussy little eaters 🙂

While this used to offer excellent meals at a reasonable price, we found it now to be quite dear. Tonight’s meal was disappointing. The lemon chicken was stringy and dry with too much batter and a flavourless sauce. The Mongolian beef was tough and swamped in sauce.

The BEST Chinese in Australia. The Lemon chicken cannot be rivalled. The spicy honey beef is beyond compare. The fried ice cream comes with a sparkler! Worth a trip to Castlemaine if not staying here.
